Powerwall meets Hybrid Inverter. The all new Tesla Powerwall 3, expected to land in the UK in September 2024, features an in-built Hybrid Inverter. Retaining industry-loved features such as its 13.5kWh usable storage capacity, whole home backup functionality and sleek, modern design from the Powerwall 2, Powerwall 3 is set to fly off of the shelves, much like its predecessor.
The Tesla Powerwall 3 is rated for indoor and outdoor installation, much like the Powerwall 2. The main, standout feature of this new release, has to be the integrated Hybrid Inverter. By offering this, Tesla are enabling you, the customer, to stick within one ecosystem for managing both your Solar PV Array and Battery Storage solution. One central monitoring application to view your systems performance and make alterations.
Powerwall 3 and Backup Gateway 2 are G98/G99/G100 compliant devices and are approved pre-launch in the UK in September 2024. The 13.5kWh battery unit is comprised of Lithium Ion battery cells, with all 13.5kWh of capacity usable within the home.
Much like Powerwall+ and Powerwall 2, the newest release can work with or without Solar PV, be installed at the same time as a Solar PV array or get retrofitted to an existing system.
