Frequently Asked Questions

We offer a wide-variety of Electric Vehicle Chargers from different brands. When it comes to Residential EV charging, the highest rate of charge is 7kWh. All domestic, single phase chargers are rated to a maximum of 7kWh. What sets brands apart from one-another are their individual, unique features. MyEnergi offer an industry leading mobile application to monitor and control your EV charger, along with a black or white version of the Zappi. Choose tethered or untethered, depending on your circumstances. Most electric vehicle manufacturers will supply chargers with their cars, but not all of these are compatible with Solar and Battery.

Surplus Solar Energy can be diverted to charge your electric vehicle. Depending on the time of day, amount of solar generation and consumption at your property, the total surplus energy available to send to your electric vehicle will vary. EV batteries are substantial and it is extremely unlikely that an average households solar photovoltaic system will charge an EV fully. Top your vehicle up with excess energy for added peace of mind when beginning your next journey.

Similar to the old-style economy 7 tariffs, utility providers now offer a variable rate tariff. This plan provides you with a daytime and a nighttime rate for electricity. Your daytime rate will be higher than a standard, fixed rate. However, the savings come by utilising the nighttime rate, which on average falls between 9p and 16p. Charging at 7kWh for 9p per kWh is a no brainer, right? A typical Electric Vehicle battery is 40kWh, meaning a full charge could cost you as little as £0.51.
