We are pleased to announce that Pure Energy are officially sponsoring local side Welling United F.C for the 2022/23 season. Supporting the local community is of upmost importance for everyone at Pure and our most recent partnership with Welling will help them progress their stadium renovation plans, offer ever-improving facilities to fans and ultimately aim to promote positive results on the pitch.
Based in Welling, Kent, The Wings stadium is just a stones throw from our main office. Established in 1963 as a youth team, Welling progressed to the heights of the Football Conference and remained there for a staggering 14 years.
“Originally formed in 1963 with just one youth team playing in local league football on a nearby park pitch, the club expanded its youth system before embarking on a period of Saturday football in the London Spartan League. Membership of the Athenian League and Southern League (South) followed. For the first 15 years Welling played on a sports ground at nearby Butterfly Lane, Eltham, before taking their present ground at Park View Road, after the demise of Bexley United who, at the time, were members of the Southern League.” – Welling United F.C
